We sell Pea coats for Men and Women and Children's Pea coats. We also have Wool Bridge Coats and replacement Bridge coat and pea coat buttons. For Brands we sell 4 basic brands Fidelity Pea Coats, Sterlingwear Pea coats, Alpha Pea Coats and Import Pea Coats.

Pea coats were heavy wool coats originally worn by Sailors. The original color of pea coats was navy but most pea coats now have such a dark navy that it tend to appear black. One exception is our Women's Navy pea coat that is also available in Red, Camel, Loden and Olive. We often get asked what is the difference between the different models and brands, We'll try to lay that out here. First common to all the coats with the exception of kids is the wool all the manufacturers use the same wool which is a Melton 80% wool. The thickness of the wool will vary on some of the coats.

Fidelity Pea Coats made in the USA. Fidelity makes excellent quality coats. Plus they have better production then other companies. Sterlingwear Pea Coats are also made in the USA. Sterlingwear also makes excellent quality coats. They have the current contact for the US navy but the coats that we sell are all made for the commercial market. Starting this year they have 100% wool versions to go with the 80% wool versions.
